When it comes to any action you choose to take in life you always have the choice of which path you will take when acting. If you choose the path of love your resistance to taking that action will be low and you will have an easier time of things.
If you opt for buying into fear you will have great resistance to taking action and if you don’t take action, how will you get what you want?
Fear Keeping You Stuck?
When it comes to losing weight and getting fit, this requires a lifestyle change if you wish to keep the weight off for life and live with ease, effortlessness, love, and joy. If you’re living in fear you certainly cannot live in joy and love because joy is a much higher vibration than fear.
There are several ways that you can sabotage any weight loss efforts you may undertake by choosing fear over love. Here are just 5 ways that fear will sabotage your weight loss if you allow it to:
1. Fear of Failure - You’ve tried everything else and nothing has worked for you so even when you do come upon a solution that gets to the core of your issue (your inside) rather than being a band aid (the newest diet) for your symptom (overweight), you don’t take action because of fear.
2. Fear of What Others Will Think - If you still care about what others think then you are chained as far as just how far you can go in life. No one else can live your life for you and no one else has the same experience as you do. There is nothing that anyone else can give you that you don’t already have yourself and if you are living in fear of what others will think if you Go For It and become healthy, fit, fun, and fabulous, then your fear will keep you stuck.
3. Fear of Investment - It takes a commitment to truly become all that you can be and it takes a commitment to create a healthy, fit, fun lifestyle that will support your weight loss and maintain that loss for life. When you are afraid to invest your time, energy, money, focus, hope, and belief in becoming the person you wish you be then you will not become that person. Investing in yourself is the best thing you could ever do for anyone since the best thing you can do in this life is allow your light to shine. This does take an investment, a commitment however and when you live in fear of committing fully your results will show that lack of commitment.
4. Fear of Loss - When you fear losing others because of changes you wish to make how can you ever become all that you can be? If anyone leaves your life because you become more successful then clearly they do not have your best interests at heart. However the greatest travesity you could effect would be to hold yourself back from shining your light because you want to keep people in your life. This path is completely fear-based and it’s also an attempt to control others. When you allow fear of losing others to keep you stuck and living in inaction you will not achieve your dreams of success with health and fitness or anything else.
5. Fear of Success - You’ve become so used to failure and so down on yourself that when presented with the way out you don’t take action because of the fear of the unknown. It takes courage to succeed, courage to Go For It, and courage to change. You really can be, do, or have anything you want in this life once you learn how to get there with fun and ease, but if you are afraid to become all that you can be in this life then you will hold yourself back from taking action.
Fear or Love – Which Do You Choose?
Instead of choosing fear you could instead choose love. Love feels good. Love is grateful, appreciative, joyful, fun, light, and easy. Fear is controlling, heavy, and is focused on lack and limitation. Simply put – it’s not fun!
When you instead opt for the path of love and joy, the lighter path, then there you will find fun along the way. How can you help but have fun when you are skipping along in ease, joy, and love?
On the other side, the pathway of fear is clouded with all of those days of telling yourself you’ll “do it tomorrow”, along with those potholes of your fears and doubts like the ones I listed above. Those fears will sabotage your progress and that’s not what you want as your end goal, is it?

1. Find a Beginner’s Yoga Class

Start the process by finding a beginners yoga class in your area, and make a commitment to go to class at least once a week.
2. Spend Ten Minutes Morning and Evening on Your Favorite Poses
In yoga there around 10 primary poses with endless variations. Pick your favorite two poses, and do them morning and evening. This should take you around 10 minutes.
For example, let’s say you picked downward dog and the cobra as the poses you’ll practice outside class this week. Start your 10 minute session in mountain pose, paying particular attention to your alignment, and relaxing as you stand in the pose. Then do cobra pose. Perform the pose four times. Completely relax between each pose.
Complete your session by performing downward dog pose, increasing the length of time you spend in the pose gradually, until you’re spending around 90 seconds in the pose.
3. Allow Yourself to Lose Weight: Forget Dieting
You gained weight gradually. You didn’t have to think about gaining weight, it just happened, because of the habits you created. Changing habits is very difficult, especially if you try to impose change from the outside. Yoga helps you to change from the inside.
Within a few days of starting your yoga exercises, you’ll find that you no longer crave fast food. However, buying fast food is a habit. We live amongst so many miracles everyday and how many do we stop and take notice of?

Pay special attention to these words. Really think about
what they mean.
Yes, I hear what you are saying. You have heard it a
million times. Everybody knows it. If this is what you are
thinking, I must warn you not to take these words lightly.
I can tell you 90% of people read these words, and don’t
understand what they truly mean. You can tell by simply
watching their lives. If you are not living a happy, fulfilled
life RIGHT NOW, I can tell you, “You are not truly
understanding these words”. Then let’s get down to a
deep understanding of this golden rule of success.
As I have discussed in my earlier articles, we are living
in a material world, which is made up of molecules, which
are made up of atoms, which in turn are made up of
subatomic particles. We have also discussed that these
subatomic particles act at our commands, they come into
existence only when we observe them.
Let’s see what scientists say about these amazing building
blocks of this world. The subatomic particle is a kind of
wave packet, which can be in the state of wave and particle
simultaneously. We describe a particle by its location, and
we describe a wave by its momentum. However, the subatomic
particle can exist as a particle and a wave at the same
time. This sounds very counterintuitive, but it is true.
Either the subatomic particle becomes a particle or it
becomes a wave, it depends on how you measure it. If you
decide to measure it by its location, it instantly becomes
a particle, if you decide to measure it by its momentum, it
instantly becomes a wave. It all depends on how we measure
(or how we observe) it.
Deepak Chopra in his new book, “Spontaneous Fulfillment of
Desires”, describes a thought experiment by Erwin
Schrödinger. Imagine you have a closed box that contains a
wave-particle, a cat, a lever, and a bowl of cat food with
a loose lid. If the wave-particle becomes a particle, the
particle will trip the lid, and the cat will eat. If the
wave-particle becomes a wave, the lid will remain on the
food. When we open the box (making an observation), we will
either see an empty bowl and a happy cat, or a full bowl
and a hungry cat. It all depends on how we observe. Before
we open the box, the bowl is both empty and full, and the
cat is both fed and hungry. Both possibilities exist at the
same time. Deepak says “It is the observation alone that
turns possibility into reality.”
The whole point is that the basic building block of the
material world acts at our command. At the very moment of
our observation, it comes into existence. We are the
creator of our world. Nothing exists without our
observation.
How does that relate to manifesting your desires? Well, it
has everything to do with manifesting your desires. Why
does our life seem like a struggle? Why don’t we get the
money we want? Why don’t we get the relationship that we
have always desired? Why is our life is filled with a long
list of never ending problems? All these are because of our
habitual way of observing the world. We have been
conditioned that what we are seeing is reality, and we
continue to live this way and continue to observe the same
things happen in our lives. Let me tell you, your reality
is not reality. Only you choose and observe it to be your
reality. As soon as you realize your own observation is the
cause of everything, then you can literally decide to
create another reality. You can decide to observe another
reality into your world, only when you choose to.
How do you do it? First, don’t let your outer world delude
you, this is not necessarily the reality. Secondly, observe
exactly what you want in your mind, observe it with
certainty and clarity, and then let it go, knowing that you
have already created your desires at the quantum level. You
simply let the universe arrange for it to come to you. When
the opportunities come, don’t forget to take action and
express your gratitude. Everything begins with your change
of the way you look at your world.
Remember “Change the way you look at things, and the things
you look at will change.”

In yoga, many experts have the opinion that breathing is more important to successful practice than perfect pose form. You already have the basic equipment to reach your goals. Remember to consciously engage your breath and be aware of your breathing as you develop your skills. When performing Asana, keep in mind that it isn’t necessary or even possible to do it perfectly all the time. Especially for beginners, this should be more of a goal, and as with any form of meditation, you should try to be mindful and have progress, but also not beat yourself up about it.
You Don’t Need Any Yoga Props to Breathe.
We breathe all day every day, and as human beings it’s something we do as naturally as fish swimming in the water. As such respiration isn’t something we think about much. So why make such a big deal about it once you start practicing yoga? To return to the fish in water analogy, almost everything that is good to a fish comes to it through water. A fish in bad water will eventually sicken and die. A fish which cannot breathe in water will most certainly perish. Good water is necessary for fish not just to grow but to thrive. Anyone who keeps fish will tell you that the number one biggest challenge to keeping fish is water quality. People with aquariums need filtration equipment.
So why are we so casual about how we consider air and breathing? We are in air all the time just like fish are in water all the time. We breathe air in and out. The air brings us oxygen, which our body uses in our brain, our organs, our heart, and blood. Air is something we all need not just to live but to thrive. Maybe you could even think of air as vitamins. You need to get your Vitamin O! Your vitamin O is being used by your body for your autonomic nervous system. So your heart rate, respiration, digestion, perspiration, and even how much your eye pupils are dilated. The equipment of your body. In addition, there is the somatic nervous system, which is the part which you control consciously. So it’s voluntary bodily movement, and sense organs. Beginning and ending.
So looking at it this way, you can see that breathing is how you bring that vitamin O into your body. It is something we need to survive. And when we exhale, waste products of our metabolism are leaving our bodies through our lungs. Our continued health and life hinges on this function. Like fish with water, air and breathing are central to everything we are.
Our breathing changes depending on our mood or situation. If you are stressed out you may breathe in a more shallow or constricted way. Others may breathe too much and hyperventilate. In another situation, maybe you’re reading in an awkward position, or slouching in a chair at work. Your breathing may be too shallow or small. Either situation needs to be remedied. To breathe as deeply as you should in yoga, you need to make sure your posture is correct. A person should not just pay attention to their posture, they should be aware of their breathing.
I wonder how it is that we don’t learn how to breathe. I guess it just comes naturally, but it is also something that is easy to forget about. When you practice, however, you become aware of your respiration, and breathe consciously, you can escape these situations where you aren’t breathing mindfully. This is even more important for beginners.
By now you’re probably seeing the connection between your mental state and the way you breathe. Scientists and physicians are aware of this connection as well as people who practice yoga. Think of the practice of breathing deeply and counting to ten when you are upset. In yoga with breathing we strive to connect mind and body.
